David Norman

David is an executive master coach. He has a solid track record of human capital development, business strategy consulting and corporate jobs.

Over the past fifteen years he has personally coached one-on-one many hundreds of individual Chairmen, CEOs, MDs, VPs, directors, senior managers, fast-track individuals and professionals in blue chip and other firms. Much of his work today is with business executives and HR specialists in global blue chip companies and other firms. He has published a book on Coaching for High Performance.

In addition as a way of demonstrating rapid, effective and measured behaviour change and skills development he has coached many professional investors (fund managers and investment analysts) and golfers (mind-game coaching and future book. As part of his professional coaching practice he also provides optional sports psychology and business psychotherapy services. David has also designed, presented and facilitated hundreds of open and in-company learning and development seminars, executive briefings and workshops.

More recently he created the Matt and Buzz characters and range of services as a way to simplify sophisticated and advanced communications, leadership, relationship and change methods specifically designed to reach a broad international audience. Who through the easy to follow and practical story dialogue can effortlessly learn how to improve their performance, enhance their skills and achieve greater success and enjoyment in their careers, relationships and lives.

He also has many years broad experience working as a business strategy management consultant in South Africa, Europe and the UK. He has conducted assignments using for example: scenario planning processes, competitive and value chain analysis, marketing research, creativity brainstorming and more recently blue ocean strategy. He held positions with: Towers Perrin, IDC and Computer Sciences Corporation. During this time he held appointments for several years as chairman of the corporate strategy group of the Strategic Planning Society, visiting MBA lecturer at CASS Business School, City of London, and specialist advisor to the European Commission in Brussels. He has also published a book on business strategy. In his early career he held various marketing and sales, and technical positions with: Texas Instruments, GEC and Racal Communications.

David holds a BCom degree with triple majors in organisational psychology, economics and business management, and has completed post-graduate BCom (Hons) studies in advanced finance and marketing. In addition he has invested nearly 200 days in his own CPD (continuing professional development) in recent years in advanced human capital development. He is an internationally certified trainer, master practitioner (double certification) and practitioner of NLP (neuro-linguistic programming) and other related certifications. He is also a Chartered Engineer and Member of the Institute of Engineering and Technology (previously MIEE). Member/Associate of IoD, CIPD, ANLP, EHRF and Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.
